My First PBC Cook Pork Chops. Brats, Corn and  Asparagus (6/16/2020) 6/16/2020 Some notes on My First PBC Cook It came out good in spite of me . The charcoal was easy to light using Weber Starter Cube and Chimney - I hung Pork Chops on a Hook - Corn in the corn basket - Brats in the Hot dog basket - Asparagus in tin foil in all purpose basket I did not pay Attention to time or internal temp of cooker,  I did not hook up any probes. I did pull the pork chops after maybe 45 minutes and they were at a perfect IT of 145. I Pulled the corn when it started to get Char Marks. I may have undercook the brats, Grilling pre cooked Brats never seems to come out as good as raw ones No my first cook did not go perfect. I made a few mistakes. The food still came out great. 1. I dropped the corn hanger onto the charcoals, I fished them out and Rehung them they were great. 2. The pineapple chunks we're not big enough for the skewers, they tasted good "

My Fourth Cook Burgers and Chicken with sides Burgers on the PBC 7/1/2020 This was a very simple cook.  I lightly seasoned the burgers with some over the counter SPG Rub  (Salt, Pepper, Garlic).  The foil pack across the rebar had peaches.  I cooked for abt 7 minutes on each side using the grillgrates.  I did not add wood for extra smokey tatse.  There was a light charcoal taste which was perfect. Chicken and Asparagus The wife said she cooks them about 20 or 30 minutes in oven so thats what I did. Flipping 1/2 way through.  I seasoned with something called Bob's BBQ Rub and it was great as usual.  The asparagus was overcooked but I will cook it for only 10 minutes next time.   The Peaches were like a crustless peach pie and yes they were amazing,

PBC Reviews II The Prime Package

PBC Reviews II The Prime Package The PBC Prime Package is the ultimate bundle offered by Pit Barrel.  It really does offer everything you need to get started except the coals and food (and some maybe you don't)/ The Basic Package The Basic Package includes , just that the basics.  It includes a cooking grate and Hooks so you can grill both ways.  It also includes some rubs to use on your BBQ.  I think most people will feel the need to purchase additional Items.  The hook tool is flimsy but maybe had I not received the ultimate hook tool as part of the prime package, I wouldn't have noticed.  It includes everything you need to cook except the Charcoal and fire starter (Chimney) to cook.  I have used the all purpose rub and thought it had a nice flavor. 1 30 Gallon Steel Drum/Lid 8  Stainless Steel Hooks 2   Steel Hanging Rods 1   Charcoal Basket 1   Standard Grill Grate 1 Wooden Hook Remover 1   Three-Point Barrel Stand 1   All-Purpose Pit Rub 5 oz. 1
